Update on "Adopt A Road."

Thank you to the following who have adopted additional community roads:

Tom and Sue Cresta- Sheridan Rd
Rob and Karen May- Oak Dr.
John and Barbara Novak- Pickerel Point to Borick Road and up to Fawn Rd.

Remember if your street is already adopted we have MANY that have not yet been claimed.

Today Sheridan and Ferris were de-littered. On Ferris 75% of what was picked up, mostly beer/soda cans, was recycleable. For those who do not already take advantage of recycling the information from Paupack Twp. is listed below. Since you pay for trash removal, keep in mind that you can greatly reduce that cost by recycling.

The Paupack Township Recycling Program is available on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 8:00 AM - NOON  and preceding Friday to the 2 Saturdays listed from 7:30 AM - 3:00PM at the Township Building, 25 Daniels Road, Lakeville PA.
The following are items that will be accepted for recycling:
Newspapers, magazines, cardboard
Cans (metal), please crush cans flat.  No Hazardous cans (ie. Paint, oil, gas, pesticides, etc.)
Glass (Clear, Brown or Green) must be washed out.
Plastic (#1 and #2)
Newspapers must be placed in neat stack and tied with heavy string or twine
Magazines must be placed in neat stack and tied with heavy string or twine. Do not include cardboard, newspaper or hardcovered books with magazines.

Adopt a Paupackan Lake Estates Road

Hello everyone,
It looks like Spring has sprung and it's great litter picking weather out there.I am looking for more volunteers to help pick litter throughout the neighborhood. If you would like to volunteer to help keep a roadway or common area clean it's easy! Just email me and tell me what area you would like and then just clean it up at your convenience! Some of the big areas that are still available are the beach, beach parking lot, the field next to the office and the mail box area! Unfortunately these are areas that need weekly attention, sometimes I do the beach and parking lot on my way home from work at midnight on a daily basis in the summer so you might not realize just how bad it gets.
Here are the areas that are already adopted! Thank You to everyone!
Ferris Road - Bill and Rita Tomlinson
Westerly Rise -  Tom and Nancy Halpin
East Shore - Michael and Carol
Boat Basins # 1,2,3,4 and the boat launch - Sam,Tammy and Ryan Martin
As you can see we have lots of areas available! If you get a large amount of litter or a big item and need to dispose of it properly please let me know ans we can have maintenance take care of it.
Yesterday I walked from the entrance to East Shore up to the top of Westerly, covering the beach, the parking lot,Sheridan and the office area and filled two lawn and leaf bags, two shopping bags and I had some large items!

I'm looking forward to a cleaner, safer neighborhood and cant wait to hear from you!

Thank You
Sam Martin
